Is there a list of new businesses registered in Michigan?
Yes. The State of Michigan records every new LLC and corporation, but its search portal shows them one name at a time. FreshFilings turns each month's registrations into one CSV covering all 83 counties, with registered-office addresses and resident agents.
How do I find new LLCs registered in Michigan each month?

How many new businesses register in Michigan each month?

Is this a list of new business licenses?
No. Michigan has no general state business license. What the state records is the formation of LLCs and corporations, which is what FreshFilings covers. Trade and professional licenses are separate records and are not in the list.
What does "registered office address" mean?
It's the Michigan address the business gave the state for official mail. For many small LLCs it's the owner's home or shop. When a business uses a registered-agent service, it's that service's office instead, which is why a few counties show more filings than operate there.
How current is it?
Monthly. The state closes each month's list after the month ends, and we deliver it as soon as we receive it, typically early the following month. It is not a real-time feed. When you sign up, your first file (the most recent list the state has released) arrives by email within minutes.
What does a single-month purchase include?
One list: the most recent list the state has released when you buy. Your email names the month (for example, "the August 2026 list"). It's delivered once and nothing renews.
Does it include phone numbers, emails or owner names?
No. The state's registry does not record them, so we can't include them. What it does record is the registered-office address, which for many small LLCs is the owner's own address, and the resident agent, who is often the owner or a registered-agent company. It is a strong starting point for a mailer, a visit or a research pass, not a ready-made call list.
Which businesses are covered?
New domestic LLCs, PLLCs, profit corporations and professional corporations. Nonprofits, partnerships, out-of-state entities and assumed names (DBAs) are not in the list.
Where does the data come from?
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Corporations Division. Business registrations are public record. We clean the file, add the county, and check every list against the state's own record count before it goes out. We don't change the state's records. Like many data publishers, we include a small number of control records in each file to protect the data.
Why do a few cells start with an apostrophe?
If a cell would begin with =, +, - or @, spreadsheet programs can treat it as a formula. For your safety we put an apostrophe in front of any such value, so it always opens as plain text.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime, through the billing portal (or just email us). Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you've paid for runs to its end and you still receive every list we release before it ends (a list released after that isn't sent). If a renewal payment fails, lists released while it's overdue are sent once it goes through. No refunds for the current period, and one-time purchases are final. The terms have the details.
What can I do with the list?
Use it for your own business's outreach. You can't resell it, republish it or hand it to people outside your company, and you're responsible for following the laws that govern your outreach (CAN-SPAM, do-not-call and the like). See the terms.
